Always been a food lover! Food is an important aspect of our health. Ayurveda teaches you that your body is what you eat, what you breathe, what you see. It is important what type of food you are eating and cooking. Your body is sacred, watch out for what you put in there. I mostly prefer homemade meals. I started cooking when I was 11 years old. My mom is my first teacher ever 🙂 Yup that’s right!
I was born and raised in a vegetarian family and my self a hardcore VEGETARIAN. Which covers 90% vegan and 10% milk, cheese, and butter!! Yes yes I love it! You are right there are options to substitute that 10%. So, I have started using almond milk for the last 5 years, and definitely, in my kitchen you will find 99% vegan recipes (Forgive me for that 1% haha, would you?!).
When I moved to the USA 7 years ago my friends in university used to ask me what my diet style was. I am like a vegetarian!! They always used to be super impressed by how one can live without meat. Their reaction was like, Wow! you are vegetarian and they would ask me 2-3 times just to make sure that I never ever had meat. I used to simply say NO. Initially, it was difficult for me to find vegetarian food options or the tastes I like on the plate. I used to miss my mom’s food every single meal. During those years I realized it is not a norm to be Vegetarian/Vegan.
To my non-vegan people out there I am not trying to take any pride here but yes it’s healthy for your soul and mind! Neither this website is only for vegan people. I am sure you will enjoy all the vegan recipes on this website and I am sure you would be surprised how many options you have that you might even forget to eat meat.
Please leave a comment if you have special request for a recipe.
I will walk you through different recipes and keep you entertained adding some fun on your plate.
