As you might have read on my page, I was always curious about my life and made a lot of questions about my existence at a very early age. Me looking for an answer or at least in the process of finding an answer I came across many spiritual gurus, books, holy scriptures, series, spiritual videos, and many more! I have always tried to find an answer which aligns with the current generation or time. Also, I have always tried to find something that has a logical answer! Where I can connect dots in daily life with those answers.
Just to give you a little bit of background about my interest in meditation and spirituality. When I was 11 years old, for the first time I shared my questions/concerns with my cousin. He talked me through it and asked a few questions. After a couple of days, he only introduced me to meditation. At that time I did 21 days of meditation program by Dr. Sneh Desai. Similarly, I was raised in Hindu Culture and always tried to make a sense of all rituals. Before I turned 17 years I had read Bhagavad- Gita, and Ramayana. There were times where I and my parents used to read one chapter of Bhagavad-Gita at night before sleep. So, yes I did grow up with certain cultural values that had deep roots and the idea of GOD. I also got introduced to heaven, hell, and Karma along with other learnings! These things made me even more confused and left me with so many questions.
In between, I started doing meditation but got really busy with studies and years passed by. I finished my schooling and got busy with another phase of life. I came to the USA when I was 19 and spent 4 intense years for my education. During those years I struggled like most immigrants. No doubt that was the turning point of my life and I met incredible people in the university. I don’t want to bore you further with my interesting story haha. In short The journey from being a princess of the family to an independent woman from zero. Also, caught up in cycles of life including breakups, two surgeries back to back, financial crisis, and unemployment. My focus was on solving my life problems. At that time I realized that we humans are in a cycle of life which is never-ending. We feel like we are going somewhere but we are actually not. We are having a conditional relationship with our happiness. For example, we are always like oh! I would be happy if I have that, once we get that we are like oh! but wait if I have this I would be happier and it goes on & on FOREVER. One after another we crave things and it’s literally never-ending. Can we be free from this cycle? My answer to you is absolute YES!! I learned that there are some ways just a few years back and gladly share it with you. Once again I started my journey when life hurdles were at its lowest.
So, right about two years ago I met an amazing soul, a lifelong friend who introduced me to some amazing spiritual teachers, and one of those was Sadhguru. During that time, I had started a 14- days meditation program by Jay Shetty. Where one of his guest speakers had mentioned a book “Untethered soul: The journey beyond yourself” In that book, I learned about “Consciousness” and “Awareness” If I can summarize in my own words it teaches you “How our own mind is against us” Our thoughts, emotions, pre-programmed brain, situations, past experiences does not allow us to see exactly what it is. I am asking Who are we? The clothes we are wearing, the money we are earning, or even the life we are living in? Nothing defines us who we are right? “We are the one who watches us doing, thinking, reacting, feeling last but not the least overall the one who is experiencing life.”
If we want we can be at our best no matter our emotions and situations in life. For that, we must turn in (focus on our inner self) and train our body, emotions, thoughts, and brain to learn how not let it affect energy created by those. According to the law of energy: Energy IN= Energy OUT. The same way, any thought entering our brain has to flow openly. In order to do that, look at it as energy. Try not to hold those energies let it be happiness (the strongest positive emotion) or fear (the strongest negative emotion) it will only multiply and add up. What we are training to learn is how to actually process these energies simply by watching it and let it pass through you. Once it flows through you completely, you are free from that energy. The procedure is not that simple as our monkey brain doesn’t allow us. It feels like breaking a giant wall to see the light on the other side. Breaking that wall is the process we must prepare to go through. Once it’s free we are free. This is how every single emotion and thought works in our brain. Now am I free from all problems absolutely NO but it definitely has given me the platform to look at it beyond my body and physical boundary. It has helped me in many ways and I am still learning to dive deep into my spiritual journey.
“The more I learn I feel I know less!”
To go back to the very beginning where I had mentioned the answer has to be logical. Sadhguru is known for logical explanations. I binge-watched Youth and Truth videos by one and only Sadhguru. I was interested in learning more about “inner engineering” as he had mentioned it in so many videos. I have written another blog about my first day’s experience of Inner Engineering: Mechanics of life. I also understood that not everything has a logical explanation and once you understand this you are one step closer to yourself. At this point, if you are open to learning beyond your belief, you can absolutely say your intelligence has turned for you instead of against you.

Most of the things you mention happens to be supprisingly accurate and it makes me ponder why I had not looked at this in this light before. This article truly did turn the light on for me as far as this particular subject matter goes. But there is one particular factor I am not too cozy with and whilst I make an effort to reconcile that with the actual main theme of your issue, let me see exactly what the rest of the readers have to say. Very well done. Pru Ettore Selig
Thanks much Pru! It makes me even more joyful to write more and help as many people as I can.
